OCTOBER

3rd – Sip-n-Create Friday Portal Art

Learn to play with the medium of watercolor in a loose and free-form way. Create Azura’s famous Portal Art with absolutely NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!! 

Friday 5 pm – 7 pm / $22 all supplies included / the first ‘sip’ is on us 

 

17th – Sip-n-Create Friday Wire Wrapping I – Wire Wrap a gemstone pendant

Let’s get some jewelry making started! We are so excited to bring these jewelry making classes to The Village Art Shoppe! No EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

Friday 5 pm – 7 pm / $60 which includes 3 jewelry making tools for you to take home after using them in class, 2 gemstone cabochons and plenty of wire to create one pendant in class and another at home!

* if you have your own tools class will be $45 (all other supplies will be included)

NOVEMBER

“November Shoppe Hours – Normal business hours open Wed-Sun 11am- 4:00pm, 

Exceptions:  Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th Thanksgiving Closed all day.” 

 

7th – Sip-n-Create Friday Mini-Art Pocket Paintings

Create adorable mini-art pieces 2 ½” x 3 ½”. Choose which one of your creations will be mounted and set on an easel for someone’s enjoyment! They make great gifts or use your additional created Pocket Paintings as gift tags, etc. No EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

Friday 5 pm – 7 pm / $22 all supplies included / the first ‘sip’ is on us

 

14th – Sip-n-Create Friday Wire Wrap & Weaving II 

This class will take your basic wire wrapping skills to the next level by learning to add wire weaving to your piece. You’ll be creating a stunning gemstone pendant with a blend of wrapping and weaving. 

*This is an intermediate class. If you’ve taken the first class last month or have basic wire wrapping skills, then this class is for you!

Friday 5 pm – 7 pm / $50 stones & wire included, but you’ll need to bring your own tools …the first ‘sip’ is on us.

 

DECEMBER (No Classes this month)

“December Shoppe Hours – Normal business hours open Wed-Sun 11am- 4:00pm, 

Exceptions: Wed Christmas Eve 24th – open 11am – 3pm, Closed Christmas Day 25th, Last Day Shoppe is open for 2025 season is Sunday 28th 11am-4:00pm”

MOSAICS WITH GLASS & OTHER UNIQUE MATERIALS – a very popular class last year so we’re bringing it back this year! 

 

JUNK JOURNAL MAKING – Come experience another crazy and creative class with the inspirational muse, Suzie Fowler-Tutt! A returning instructor, she has a way of really inspiring the creative process in all of us. You don’t want to miss it! 

 

JEWELRY MAKING TIME! – 

Bead-Loom Weaving – create a wrap bracelet

 

Seed Bead Stitching – Learn the Brick Stitch & Peyote Stitch to create use in so many creative ways 

 

Bead Embroidery – this is an art used to build pendants, mandalas, large breast plates, etc. Use them on clothing, purses and bags, as pendants with beaded chains. It’s endless what you can do with this skill!

 

Beaded Necklaces & Earring Sets – learn how to bead a balanced necklace and how to choose just the right color of beads to make stunning jewelry sets.

 

Wire Wrapping & Weaving I & II & III levels – wrap and weave crystals & stones to make pendants that look like works of art! 

 

LEARNING ALL ABOUT COLOR – wherever you use color, this class will give you a leg up on your color blending & mixing skills. Whether with textiles, paints/markers, beads or anything else you create in color with, you’ll learn the concepts of how to use color and how to use the color wheel.

 

PAINTING IS ALWAYS ON THE AGENDA! – 

Watercolor & Acrylics – new techniques with new teachers, and some returning, helps you to expand your experience with your fav mediums. 

Learning abstract style of painting to loosen up your creative process, as well as traditional detailed skills. 

We’ll also be doing some Sip-n-Create Friday ‘Paint Nights’ for those who just want to play with paint!

 

SPECIALTY PAINTING Feather Painting & Dot Art – two different techniques that will be a part of our 2026 new year agenda! 

The art of painting on feathers is a beautiful form of art.  

Dot painting…This is an amazing and fun technique to explore. 

We have instructors for both of these just waiting for the opportunity to come and play at the art shoppe!

 

LET’S GET THOSE PENCILS SHARPENED, IT’S TIME TO SKETCH! – 

Sketch and Wash & Urban Sketching – if you like the pencil as your medium, you’ll enjoy hanging with others that feel the same. You’ll truly learn something!

 

CHARCOAL – a medium we’ve yet to explore but have many requests for. Watch for classes in 2026!

 

ZENTANGLE INSPIRED ART – another popular class. This addictively relaxing creative process seems to have caught on by many here in Chama! 

 

TIME TO STITCH –

Embroidery, stitching, fiber art and all forms of textiles – Put them all together and wow, the things you can create!

 

COAT OF ARMS – recreate or begin anew, your own family, or your own life crest! Think of Harry Potter and the crests of each school. Think Game of Thrones and all of the crests that defined each group. That is what this class is all about! Fascinatingly interesting and creatively fun!
