Jeff Bragg was a young farm boy and spent a lot of time as a youth with his Grandpa Bragg.

Lapidary was just beginning in earnest in the 1950’s. In the early 1960’s Grandpa Bragg was beginning his “rock” art in his life. Jeff learned to “listen” for the sound of the rock or to hear when there was no “tingling” left on the diamond saw blade as it cut through the stones. Both Grandpa and Grandsonlearned about positioning a stone into the saw for the finished product, be it a Bolo tie, a stone specimen, an earring, a necklace or even sawing a Thunderegg or Geode in two!
